Randomness and Business

It's been a while since I've updated this blog.  It's been rather difficult to do.  I started this blog to talk about our kids, being a stay-at-home dad, and life in general.  When dad died last year it was difficult to write about life and everything else.  Things have gotten better but there isn't a day that goes by I don't think about what happened and how much I wish he were still here. There are so many things he could have helped us with and the greatest thing would have been to have his council.

I used to bounce ideas off my parents.  Dad would always offer suggestions and whether I liked them or not they were helpful in eventually deciding what to do. One of the last ideas we talked about was my Home Garden nursery business which I actually began this year.  I think he would be proud of what we're attempting to do.  He always wanted to own his own business and was in fact on his way to doing that when the cancer intervened.

Life is never predictable.  Or maybe I should say the only thing predictable is that life is unpredictable.

This is a busy time of year for us with the new nursery which is good because it takes away time to think about who we've lost. I've spent more time getting other people's plants ready than planting my own vegetable garden. In a couple weeks we'll be delivering and selling our plants at the Spring Hill Farmer's Market.  I sure wish dad could be there with us as we sit under the shade of the pecan trees at the Farmer's market this year. He would have enjoyed it!
